Description

The .45 Automatic was the historic sidearm of the American soldier for nearly 80 years. This blank firing gun is your chance to experience a bit of history. The clip removes to load 10 extra loud blanks (8mm). The blued finish, wood grips, and loud blank firing action give the shooter a realistic feel. This is an ideal blank gun for theatrical, movie, or reenactment purposes.

    Misfires/stovepipe jams

Beautiful construction weighs and feels like a true 1911 but when fired it continually stovepipe jams. Plus the 8 mm rounds put in to the magazine are very loose and stagger down into the magazine. After doing some measurements It actually measures to fit in 9 mm blank round versus an 8 mm blank round and fires much better with no jamming. The bolts Spring tension on the pistol are too strong for how hot the 8 mm round is. The 9 mm round fits like a glove and fires perfectly. Smoother action and no jams. It really makes me wonder how they classify this pistol as an 8 mm. No modifications were done to the pistol to accommodate the 9 mm blank round. I also consulted a gun Smith in regard to this to confirm my findings and we did test firing behind ballistic glass for safety. We are using these guns for World War II and Vietnam documentaries.
